Sanatkumara (teaching Narada in dialogue)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhayanaka
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It teaches that ritual merit depends not only on the act but also on the purity of the offering and performance; impurity corrupts the karma and redirects its fruit toward lower, painful experiences.
It implies that devotion must be accompanied by śauca (purity) and right conduct; otherwise, even acts done as ‘good deeds’ lose their uplifting power and produce degrading results.
It reflects Kalpa (ritual procedure) and the dharmic principle of śauca in yajña and dāna—purity of havis and proper observance are essential for obtaining auspicious karma-phala.
