Vrata: none (mentions tithi as computational basis, not a named vrata)
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: none
It links precision in sacred calculation with saṃskāra (ritual correctness), implying that orderly knowledge and exact measures support dharma and disciplined spiritual life.
Indirectly: it emphasizes that devotional and dharmic observances rely on correct timing and measures; careful adherence to such foundations is presented as a supportive discipline for a devotee’s practice.
A technical method of calendrical/astral computation—using tithi-based division (including a ‘twice tithi’ factor) to obtain a precise value (sphuṭa) that becomes the basis for ritual measurement units like aṅgula.
