Sanatkumara (in instruction to Narada on technical calculation within Moksha Dharma context)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: none
It emphasizes that dharma and vrata observance should be aligned with accurate sacred time (kāla), since correct tithi-determination supports disciplined practice leading toward moksha.
Bhakti practices like pūjā, upavāsa, and vrata depend on proper timing; this verse supplies the technical basis for fixing tithis so devotional acts are performed at the intended sacred moments.
Jyotiṣa Vedāṅga: computing tithi from solar and lunar longitudes, and converting elapsed/remaining portions into kalās by multiplying by sixty for ritual-time precision.
