मार्कण्डेय उवाच इत्याकर्ण्य यमः शापं मात्रा दत्तं भयातुरः ।
अभ्येत्य पितरं प्राह प्रणिपातपुरःसरम् ॥
mārkaṇḍeya uvāca ityākarṇya yamaḥ śāpaṃ mātrā dattaṃ bhayāturaḥ /
abhyetya pitaraṃ prāha praṇipāta-puraḥsaram
قال ماركاندييا: لما سمع ياما اللعنة التي أطلقتها أمه، وقد استولى عليه الخوف، دنا من أبيه وتكلم بعد أن تقدّم بالسجود والتذلل.
