Adhyaya 72 — The Reconciliation Rite, Sarasvati Sacrifice, and the Birth of Uttama Manu (Auttama Manvantara Prelude)
आनीयतां नरश्रेष्ठ ! या तवेष्टात्मनोऽन्तिकम् । भुङ्क्ष्व भोगांस्तया सार्धं यज यज्ञान्स्तथादृतः ॥
ānīyatāṃ naraśreṣṭha! yā taveṣṭātmano 'ntikam / bhuṅkṣva bhogāṃs tayā sārdhaṃ yaja yajñāṃs tathādṛtaḥ
«أحضِروها، يا خيرَ الرجال، إلى حضرتك أنتَ الذي أتممتَ طقسَ الإشْتي (iṣṭi). تمتّع معها باللذّات المشروعة التي هي حقّك، وأقِم كذلك القرابين بواجب الاحترام.»

The householder path integrates kāma (enjoyment) with yajña (sacred duty); pleasure is affirmed when harmonized with responsibility and reverence.
Upākhyāna with dharma-śikṣā (ethical instruction); it operationalizes household dharma rather than describing creation or dynasties.
Union (sārdham) and sacrifice (yajña) together signal the ideal ‘consecrated household’: relationship becomes a locus of spiritual order, not mere gratification.
