Adhyaya 65 — Svarocis Enjoys on the Mountain; A Debate on Marital Fidelity and Desire
विद्याप्रदानमूल्येन विक्रीतो ह्येष भृत्यवत् ।
प्रवर्तते न हि प्रेम समं बह्वीषु तिष्ठति ॥
vidyāpradānamūlyena vikrīto hyeṣa bhṛtyavat |
pravartate na hi prema samaṃ bahvīṣu tiṣṭhati ||
لقد بيع، كأنه خادم، بثمنٍ هو منحُ التعليم. فإن المحبة لا تجري على وتيرةٍ واحدة؛ ولا تستطيع أن تبقى على حالٍ واحد بين كثرةٍ من (الشركاء).

Where bonds are formed through bargaining or utility, dignity and genuine affection collapse. The verse also asserts a moral psychology: love is inherently partial and cannot be equally distributed across many.
Outside pañcalakṣaṇa; it is a dharma–nīti teaching embedded in the Purāṇic dialogue tradition.
‘Sold like a servant’ points to inner servitude: desire turns the self into a hired laborer of the senses, paid in fleeting pleasures rather than lasting freedom.
