ततः कलाभिः सोमस्य वर्धन्तीभिरहः क्षये । आप्याय्यमानाहरहो वृद्धिं यातास्मि सत्तम ॥
tataḥ kalābhiḥ somasya vardhantībhir ahaḥ-kṣaye | āpyāyyamānā ahar-aho vṛddhiṃ yātāsmi sattama ||
ثمّ لما كانت كَلاّتُ سوما (القمر) تزداد يومًا بعد يوم، كنتُ أنا أيضًا—إذ أُغذّى كلَّ يوم—أنمو وأكبر، يا أفضلَ أهلِ الفضيلة.
