Adhyaya 63 — The Birth of Svarocis and the Rescue of Manoramā: The Astra-Heart and the Healing of Curses
svarociruvāca brahmamitreṇa muninā kinnimittaṃ mahātmanā | śaptastvaṃ kīdṛśaścaiva śāpo datto 'bhavat purā
Dharma requires understanding causes, not only suppressing symptoms. By asking ‘kim nimittam’, Svarociṣa seeks the moral root of the rākṣasa’s condition.
Manvantara: the inquiry opens a sub-narrative explaining karmic/ethical causation within the era.
Spiritual progress includes svādhyāya-like investigation: tracing one’s bondage (śāpa) to its origin is the beginning of true release and reintegration.
