शूर्पवातघटाम्भोभिः स्त्रानं वस्त्राम्बुविप्रुषैः ।
नखाग्रसलिलैश्चैव तान् याहि हतलक्षणान् ॥
śūrpavātaghaṭāmbhobhiḥ strānaṃ vastrāmbuvipruṣaiḥ /
nakhāgrasalilaiś caiva tān yāhi hatalakṣaṇān
الذين يلوّثون أو يستهينون بالطهارة بماء غَسل المِذراة، وبالماء القذر الذي تذروه الرياح، وبماء الإناء، وبماء الاغتسال، وبقطرات ماء الثياب المغسولة، وبماء أطراف الأظفار—فاذهب إلى أمثال هؤلاء، الهالكين الأشقياء.

The verse links physical negligence with moral/ritual vulnerability. Care for cleanliness is treated as a dharmic safeguard, not merely a practical habit.

Bodily remnants and used waters represent ‘apavitra’ residues of prāṇa. The Yakṣa is directed toward those whose protective ‘lakṣaṇa’ (auspicious field) has been weakened by habitual disorder.
