Adhyaya 49 — Primordial Human Creation, the Rise of Desire, and the Origins of Settlements, Measures, and Agriculture

Sanskrit

प्रायशः कल्पवृक्षास्ते संभूता गृहम्-संज्ञिताः ।

सर्वे प्रत्युपभोगाश्च तासां तेभ्यः प्रजायते ॥

Transliteration

prāyaśaḥ kalpavṛkṣās te saṃbhūtā gṛha-saṃjñitāḥ | sarve pratyupabhogāś ca tāsāṃ tebhyaḥ prajāyate ||

Translation

وفي الغالب نشأت تلك الأشجار المُحقِّقة للأماني، وكانت تُعرَف باسم «البيوت». ومنها كانت تُنتَج لتلك القوم جميعُ أشياء المتعة العاجلة.
