Shloka 17

संसरन्ति दिश: सर्वा यशसो<स्य इवांशव: । उदितस्थेव सूर्यस्य तेजसो5नु गभस्तय:,जैसे सूर्योदय होनेपर सूर्यके तेजके पश्चात्‌ उनकी किरणें समस्त दिशाओंमें फैल जाती हैं, उसी प्रकार इनके सुयशके साथ-साथ उसकी सुधाधवल किरणें समस्त दिशाओंमें छा रही हैं

saṁsaranti diśaḥ sarvā yaśaso 'sya ivāṁśavaḥ | uditasth eva sūryasya tejaso 'nu gabhastayaḥ ||

قال أرجونا: «كما أنه عند شروق الشمس تنتشر الأشعة التي تتبع لمعانها في جميع الجهات، كذلك ينتشر بريق شهرة هذا الرجل في كل مكان—مجدٌ ناصع لا دنس فيه، أبيض كالرحيق، يرافق صيته.»
