Draupadī’s Application
manyohi vijayaṃ krodhe praśaṃsantīha sādhavaḥ | kṣamāvato jayo nityaṃ sādhoriha satāṃ matam, kṛṣṇe ||
True victory is not merely defeating others but conquering one’s own anger; the virtuous regard patience and forgiveness (kṣamā) as the mark of lasting triumph.
Yudhiṣṭhira addresses Kṛṣṇa and articulates a moral principle valued by the sādhus: that the patient, righteous person is considered the constant victor in worldly life because self-mastery preserves dharma and prevents destructive action.
