Karṇa–Sūrya Saṃvāda: Satya, Dāna, and the Amoghā Śakti (कर्ण–सूर्यसंवादः)
करभारुणपाण्डूनां हरीणां युद्धशालिनाम् । कोटीशतसहस््रेण लड़कामभ्यपपत् तदा,तत्पश्चात् उन्होंने हथेलीके समान श्वेत और लाल रंगके युद्धकुशल वानरोंकी दस खरब सेनाके साथ लंकामें प्रवेश किया
karabhāruṇa-pāṇḍūnāṃ harīṇāṃ yuddha-śālinām | koṭi-śata-sahasreṇa laṅkām abhyapatat tadā ||
قال ماركاندييا: «ثم تقدّم إلى لَنْكا بجيش هائل من القِرَدة المتمرّسين في القتال—منهم الشاحب ومنهم الأحمر الضارب إلى الصفرة—حتى بلغ عددهم مئات الألوف من الكوṭي.»
