अद्रोहो नाभिमानश्र ह्वीस्तितिक्षा दम: शम: । धीमन्तो धृतिमन्तश्न॒ भूतानामनुकम्पका:
adroho nābhimānaś ca hrīs titikṣā damaḥ śamaḥ | dhīmanto dhṛtimantaś ca bhūtānām anukampakāḥ ||
قال الصيّاد: «ترك العداوة، وترك الكِبر، والحياء، والصبر، وضبط النفس، وسكينة الباطن—إنّ الحكماء الثابتين حقًّا رحماء بجميع الكائنات الحيّة.»
व्याध उवाच
True wisdom expresses itself through virtues—non-hostility, humility, modesty, patience, self-restraint, and inner calm—and culminates in compassion toward all beings.
The hunter (Vyādha) is instructing his listener on the marks of a genuinely wise and steadfast person, emphasizing ethical conduct and universal compassion as central to dharma.
