वैशम्पायन उवाच
As a chapter-colophon, the verse primarily signals closure, but it points to the ethical thrust of the preceding dialogue: true power is guided by humility, devotion, and dharma, and the strong should accept instruction from the wise and elder.
The narrator Vaiśaṃpāyana concludes the chapter within the pilgrimage section of Vana Parva, identifying it as the episode centered on the dialogue between Hanumān and Bhīmasena, and marking the end of that adhyāya.
