Wealth and allies are mutually sustaining: resources enable support, and support enables the gaining and protection of resources. Success requires reciprocal cooperation and maintained relationships, not isolated effort.
In Udyoga Parva, Vidura offers counsel on practical dharma and governance. Here he highlights a principle of political and social life: prosperity and effective assistance arise together, each depending on the other.
