The Account of Suvarṇaṣṭhīvin
तत ऊर्ध्व कुमारस्तु स्वर्णछ्लीवी महायशा: । चित्तं प्रसादयामास पितुर्मातुश्च वीर्यवान्,तदनन्तर महायशस्वी और शक्तिशाली कुमार सुवर्णष्टीवीने जीवित होकर पिता और माताके चित्तको प्रसन्न किया
tata ūrdhvaḥ kumārastu svarṇaṣṭhīvī mahāyaśāḥ | cittaṃ prasādayāmāsa pitur mātuś ca vīryavān |
ثم إن الغلام—سُوَفَرْنَشْتِيفِي، ذائع الصيت عظيم البأس—لما عاد إلى الحياة، أقرَّ قلبَ أبيه وأمّه وأدخل عليهما السكينة والفرح.
पर्वत उवाच
The verse highlights familial dharma: the well-being of parents is deeply tied to the child’s welfare, and the restoration of life (or safety) restores mental peace and moral order within the household.
After a critical event implied by ‘ūrdhvaḥ’ (being raised up/revived), the renowned youth Suvarṇaṣṭhīvī is alive again and, by his return, he comforts and gladdens the hearts of his father and mother.
