Shloka 98

नवमीं दशमीं चास्य तथा चैकादशीं वृष: । ज्याशतं शतसंधान: स कर्णो नावबुध्यते,इतना ही नहीं, नवीं, दसवीं और ग्यारहवीं डोरी काटकर भी सौ बाणोंका संधान करनेवाले कर्णको यह पता नहीं चला कि अर्जुनके धनुषमें सौ डोरियाँ लगी हैं

navamīṁ daśamīṁ cāsya tathā caikādaśīṁ vṛṣaḥ | jyāśataṁ śatasandhānaḥ sa karṇo nāvabudhyate ||

قال سانجيا: حتى بعد أن قطع الوتر التاسع والعاشر والحادي عشر من قوس خصمه، لم يدرك كارنا—القوي كالثور والمشهور بقدرته على وصل مئة سهم في تعاقب خاطف—أن قوس أرجونا كان مشدودًا بمئة وتر. وتُبرز هذه الحادثة كيف أن الاستعداد الاستثنائي والمهارة المسنودة بعونٍ إلهي قد تُبطل مساعي حتى أمهر المقاتلين، وكيف أن الكبرياء بالبراعة قد ينهار أمام انضباطٍ أسمى مؤيَّدٍ على وجه الحق.
