ततोअस्त्रमस्त्रेण परस्परं तौ विधूय वाताविव पूर्वपश्चिमौ
tato 'stram astreṇa parasparaṃ tau vidhūya vātāv iva pūrvapaścimau
ثم إنّ المحاربين كليهما قابلا السلاح بالسلاح، يضرب كلٌّ منهما الآخر ويردّه تارةً بعد تارة، كريحين متقابلتين تهبّان من الشرق والغرب؛ يلقى كلٌّ صاحبه بقوةٍ مساوية، وفق سنّة المعاملة بالمثل التي لا ترحم في ساحة القتال.
