Shloka 19

एकलव्यं हि साड्गुष्ठमशक्ता देवदानवा: । सराक्षसोरगा: पार्थ विजेतुं युधि करहिचित्‌,कुन्तीकुमार! यदि एकलव्यका अँगूठा सुरक्षित होता तो देवता, दानव, राक्षस और नाग --ये सब मिलकर भी युद्धमें उसे कभी परास्त नहीं कर सकते थे

ekalavyaṃ hi sāḍguṣṭham aśaktā devadānavāḥ | sarākṣasoragāḥ pārtha vijetuṃ yudhi karhicit, kuntīkumāra! yadi ekalavyakā aṅguṣṭhaḥ surakṣitaḥ hotā to devatā, dānava, rākṣasa aura nāga—ye sab milakara bhī yuddha meṃ use kabhī parājita nahīṃ kara sakate the |

قال فايُو: «يا بارثا، ابنَ كونتي! لو بقي إبهامُ إيكالافيا سليمًا، لما استطاعت الآلهةُ ولا الأسورا، ومعهم الرَّاكشاسا وكائناتُ الأفاعي (الناغا)، أن يهزموه في القتال أبدًا.»
