Bhīmasena and Dhṛṣṭadyumna’s Speeches on Kṣātra-Dharma
पुत्रस्तु तव राजेन्द्र भीमाद् भीत: प्रणश्य च
putras tu tava rājendra bhīmād bhītaḥ praṇaśya ca
قال سنجيا: أيها الملك، إن ابنك—وقد استولى عليه الخوف من بهيما—فرّ واختفى عن الأنظار؛ إذ غلبت الرهبة عزيمته تحت ضغوط الحرب الجسدية والأخلاقية.
संजय उवाच
In the battlefield context, fear can eclipse duty and judgment; a leader who has pursued adharma may find courage and steadiness eroded at decisive moments, revealing the ethical cost of prior choices.
Sañjaya reports to Dhṛtarāṣṭra that the king’s son, overwhelmed by fear of Bhīma, withdrew from the encounter—effectively fleeing and disappearing from immediate view.
