Educational Q&A

Even amid violent conflict, dharma expresses itself through steadfast loyalty and the duty to protect a righteous companion. The Pāṇḍavas’ act of encircling Sātyaki models ethical guardianship: strength is used not merely to strike, but to shield those who stand for the same cause.

As Droṇācārya’s offensive threatens Sātyaki, Yudhiṣṭhira and the other Pāṇḍava warriors quickly form a protective formation around him, standing on all sides to prevent him from being overwhelmed.
