द्रोणपर्व — पञ्चदशोऽध्यायः (Droṇa Parva, Chapter 15): युधिष्ठिर-रक्षा तथा अर्जुनस्य शरवृष्टिः
निर्जित्य धार्तराष्ट्रांस्तु पाण्डवेया महारथा: । व्यरोचन्त रणे राजन् दीप्यमाना इवाग्नय:,राजन्! इस प्रकार आपके पुत्रोंकी जीतकर महारथी पाण्डव प्रज्वलित अग्नियोंकी भाँति रणक्षेत्रमें प्रकाशित होने लगे
nirjitya dhārtarāṣṭrāṁs tu pāṇḍaveyā mahārathāḥ | vyarocanta raṇe rājan dīpyamānā ivāgnayaḥ ||
قال سنجيا: أيها الملك، بعدما قهر عظماءُ فرسانِ العجلات من آل بانداف أبناءَ دِهرتراشترا، أشرقوا في ساحة القتال كالنيران المتأججة—صورةٌ تُبيّن كيف يتجسّد النصر في الحرب بأسًا ومعنوياتٍ ظاهرة، مع بقاء الصراع مثقّلًا بوطأة الدارما ومُفضيًا إلى الدمار.
