शल्यं दुर्योधनं चैव षड़भि: षड़भिरताडयत् | वृषसेनं तथाष्टाभि: षष्ट्या सैन्धवमेव च,उन्होंने कृपाचार्यको बीस, कर्णको पचास तथा शल्य और दुर्योधनको छ:-छ: बाण मारे। साथ ही वृषसेनको आठ और सिंधुराज जयद्रथको साठ बाणोंसे घायल कर दिया
śalyaṃ duryodhanaṃ caiva ṣaḍbhiḥ ṣaḍbhir atāḍayat | vṛṣasenaṃ tathāṣṭābhiḥ ṣaṣṭyā saindhavam eva ca |
قال سانجيا: ضرب شالْيَة ودوريودhana بستة أسهم لكلٍّ منهما. كما طعن فْرِشَسِينَه بثمانية أسهم، وملك السِّندهو جايادراثا بستين—فزاد وطأة القتال باستهداف قادة الصف الأول بقوةٍ موزونةٍ حاسمة.
