Educational Q&A

The verse highlights kṣānti and dhairya (forbearance and steadiness) expected of a warrior: even when wounded, one should not lose composure or resolve, remaining firm in one’s duty amid adversity.

Sañjaya describes Bhīma being struck by Karṇa (the Sūtaputra). Despite the blows, Bhīma does not show pain or agitation, standing firm like a mountain even when it is being split.
