The verse highlights steadfast resolve and disciplined effort in pursuit of a vowed objective: elite warriors, undeterred by vast opposition, press forward to confront the key wrongdoer. Ethically, it underscores accountability in war—reaching the principal agent (Jayadratha) rather than being diverted by obstacles.
Sanjaya reports to Drona that Arjuna, Bhima, and Satyaki have broken through the Kaurava forces and arrived near Jayadratha, the king of Sindhu. Despite large defensive formations, no one has been able to prevent their advance.
