Droṇa’s Rebuke to Duryodhana after Jayadratha’s Fall (द्रोणेन दुर्योधनं प्रति प्रत्युक्तिः)
पार्थिवानां समेतानां बहून्यासन् नरोत्तम | तदबले पाण्डवानां च सहस्राणि शतानि च,नरश्रेष्ठ आपकी और पाण्डवोंकी सेनाओंमें सब ओरसे एकत्र हुए भूमिपालोंके सैकड़ों और हजारों दल थे
sañjaya uvāca |
pārthivānāṃ sametānāṃ bahūny āsan narottama |
tad-bale pāṇḍavānāṃ ca sahasrāṇi śatāni ca ||
قال سانجيا: يا خيرَ الرجال، من كل جانب كانت هناك كتائب كثيرة من الملوك قد اجتمعت؛ وداخل ذلك الحشد كانت قوات الباندافا أيضًا قائمةً بالمئات والآلاف. إنّ المشهد يصوّر اتساعَ حلفٍ عظيم من حكّامٍ كُثُر جُرّوا إلى الحرب، حيث تلتقي الولاءات الشخصية بواجب المُلك لتصير حقيقةً واحدةً طاغية في ساحة القتال.
