उभौ रुधिरसिक्ताड्रावुभौ च विजयैषिणौ । दोनोंके छत्र कटकर गिर गये, ध्वज धराशायी हो गये और दोनों ही विजयकी अभिलाषा रखते हुए खूनसे लथपथ हो रहे थे

ubhau rudhirasiktādrāv ubhau ca vijayaiṣiṇau |

قال سانجيا: كان المحاربان كلاهما مغمورين بالدم، وكلاهما يبتغي الظفر. قُطِعت مظلّتاهما فسقطتا، وأُسقِطت راياتهما إلى الأرض، ومع ذلك ظلّ كلٌّ منهما يضغط إلى الأمام—مُظهِرًا كيف يمكن لشهوة النصر أن تبقى في أتون القتال، حتى وسط دلائل الخراب والألم الظاهرة.
