भीष्मस्य भीमसेन-निरोधः

अश्रिनौ श्रवणाौ नित्यं देवी जिह्नला सरस्वती । वेदा: संस्कारनिष्ठा हि त्वयीदं जगदाश्रितम्,अश्विनीकुमार आपके कान और सरस्वती देवी आपकी जिह्ढा हैं। वेद आपकी संस्कारनिष्ठा हैं। यह जगत् सदा आपहीके आधारपर टिका हुआ है
aśvinau śravaṇau nityaṃ devī jihvā sarasvatī | vedāḥ saṃskāra-niṣṭhā hi tvayi idaṃ jagad āśritam ||
قال بيشما: «إنّ التوأمين الأشفينيَّين هما أذناك على الدوام، والإلهة ساراسفتي هي لسانُك. والڤيدات هي أساسُك الراسخ في الانضباط المقدّس والنظام المُكرَّس. وعلىك وحدك يستند هذا العالم كلّه على الدوام طلبًا للسند.»
