अहं योत्स्यामि भवत: संयुगे धृतराष्ट्रजान् । युष्मदर्थ महाराज यदि मां वृणुषेडनघ,“महाराज! निष्पाप नरेश! यदि आप मुझे स्वीकार करें तो मैं आपलोगोंके लिये युद्धमें धृतराष्ट्रके पुत्रोंसे युद्ध करूँगा'
ahaṁ yotsyāmi bhavataḥ saṁyuge dhṛtarāṣṭrajān | yuṣmadartha mahārāja yadi māṁ vṛṇuṣed anagha ||
«أيها الملك العظيم، سأقاتل أبناء دْهريتاراشترا في ساحة الوغى من أجلك. فإن قبلتني، أيها الحاكم الطاهر من الإثم، دخلت الحرب لأجلك عليهم.»
