Chapter 47: Krauñca-vyūha Deployment and Conch-Signals
Kaurava–Pāṇḍava Readiness
yudhiṣṭhira uvāca | ehi ehi sarve yotsyāmas tava bhrātṝn apaṇḍitān | yuyutso vāsudevaś ca vayaṃ ca brūmaḥ sarvaśaḥ ||
The verse underscores that war, when unavoidable, should be approached as a dharmic necessity against adharma and poor judgment, not as mere personal vengeance; it also highlights unity of purpose under Kṛṣṇa’s guidance.
Yudhiṣṭhira calls others to join and declares that they will fight Yuyutsu’s brothers (the Kaurava side), stating that this resolve is shared by Yuyutsu, Kṛṣṇa (Vāsudeva), and the Pandavas collectively.
