Field, Knower, Knowledge, and the Knowable
अथवा बहुनैतेन किं ज्ञानेत तवार्जुन । विष्ट भ्याहमिदं कृत्स्नकांशेन स्थितो जगत्,अथवा हे अर्जुन! इस बहुत जाननेसे तेरा क्या प्रयोजन है? मैं इस सम्पूर्ण जगत्को अपनी योगशक्तिकेः एक अंशमात्रसे धारण करके स्थित हूँ
athavā bahunaitena kiṁ jñātena tavārjuna | viṣṭabhyāham idaṁ kṛtsnam ekāṁśena sthito jagat ||
أوَما حاجتك يا أرجونا إلى معرفة ذلك كلّه بهذا التفصيل؟ إنني أُقيم هذا الكون كلَّه وأحفظه، وأنا ثابتٌ فيه، بجزءٍ واحدٍ يسير من قدرتي.
अजुन उवाच
Detailed enumeration of divine manifestations is secondary; the essential point is that the entire cosmos is upheld by the Lord with only a small portion of His power, urging humility and single-pointed devotion rather than mere accumulation of information.
After describing His vibhūtis (majestic manifestations), Kṛṣṇa concludes by telling Arjuna that exhaustive details are unnecessary: the decisive truth is His all-pervading support of the universe, preparing Arjuna to focus on the Lord’s supremacy amid the impending war.
