नायं संरक्षितुं काल: प्राणान्‌ पुत्रोपजीविभि: । याहि स्वर्ग पुरस्कृत्य यशसे विजयाय च,“बेटा! आश्रित रहकर जीविका चलानेवाले पुरुषोंके लिये यह अपने प्राणोंकी रक्षाका अवसर नहीं है। तुम स्वर्गको सामने रखकर यश और विजयकी प्राप्तिके लिये भीष्मजीके पास जाओ

na ayaṁ saṁrakṣituṁ kālaḥ prāṇān putropajīvibhiḥ | yāhi svargaṁ puraskṛtya yaśase vijayāya ca |

قال سنجيا: «ليس هذا أوانَ رجالٍ يعيشون معتمدين على أبنائهم أن يتشبّثوا بحماية أرواحهم. امضِ إلى بِهِيشْما، واجعل السماء نصب عينيك—طالبًا المجدَ والنصر.»
