Subhadrā’s Petition to Kṛṣṇa for the Revival of Parīkṣit
tatas tvaritam āyantīṁ dadarśa svāṁ pitṛṣvasām | krośantīm abhidhāveti vāsudeva punaḥ punaḥ ||
The verse highlights dharma in moments of crisis: when danger arises, one must respond swiftly to protect others—especially vulnerable family members—without hesitation. Urgency here is not panic but responsible action grounded in duty and compassion.
A woman identified as the speaker’s ‘paternal aunt’ rushes toward Vāsudeva (Kṛṣṇa), crying out repeatedly and urging him to run. Her frantic call indicates an immediate threat or emergency that demands quick intervention.
