Adhyāya 32: Tāpasānāṃ Darśanaṃ — Ascetics Seek to Identify the Pāṇḍavas

धर्मशीलो महातेजा: कुरूणां हितकृत्‌ तथा । ततः प्रोवाच ता: सर्वा: क्षत्रिया निहतेश्वरा:,उन सबके अदृश्य हो जानेपर कौरवोंके हितकारी महातेजस्वी धर्मशील महामुनि व्यासजीने जलमें खड़े-खड़े उन सब विधवा क्षत्राणियोंसे कहा--“देवियो! तुम लोगोंमेंसे जो-जो सती-साध्वी स्त्रियाँ अपने-अपने पतिके लोकको जाना चाहती हों, वे आलस्य त्यागकर तुरंत गड़ाजीके जलमें गोता लगावें।” उनकी बात सुनकर उनमें श्रद्धा रखनेवाली वे सती स्त्रियाँ अपने श्वशुर धृतराष्ट्रकी आज्ञा ले गड़ाजीके जलमें समा गयीं

dharmaśīlo mahātejāḥ kurūṇāṃ hitakṛt tathā | tataḥ provāca tāḥ sarvāḥ kṣatriyā nihateśvarāḥ ||

قال فايشَمبايانا: ثم إن الحكيم العظيم النفس، المتلألئ—الثابت في الدارما، العامل دائمًا لخير آل كورو—خاطب جميع أولئك النساء الكشترِيّات اللواتي قُتل أزواجهن. وكان قائمًا في الماء، فنطق بكلمات تهدي الأرامل إلى السبيل الذي يبتغينه، وتُرسِي حزنهن على عزمٍ دارميّ، وتوجّههن نحو لقاء أزواجهن في العوالم التي قُدّرت لهم.
