Offerings for Ancestors and Their Stated Results
तस्य चातमसो लोका गच्छत: परमां गतिम् । स्वलोके राजराज्येन सो5भिषिच्येत भार्गव
tasya cātamaso lokā gacchataḥ paramāṁ gatim | svaloke rājarājyena so ’bhiṣicyeta bhārgava ||
قال فاسيشثا: «إن من يمضي إلى الغاية العليا ينال عوالم لا ظلمة فيها—عوالم متلألئة بالنور. يا بهارغافا، في فلكه السماوي الخاص يُقام له طقسُ التتويج فيُمسَح للسيادة الملكية، بل يبلغ منزلةَ ملكٍ بين الملوك».
वसिष्ठ उवाच
Righteous conduct that leads to the “supreme goal” is portrayed as yielding a luminous, darkness-free state and exalted honor; spiritual attainment is expressed through the imagery of radiant worlds and royal consecration.
Vasiṣṭha addresses a Bhārgava and describes the posthumous destiny of a meritorious person: he reaches radiant realms and is symbolically anointed to sovereign status in his own heavenly sphere.
