Offerings for Ancestors and Their Stated Results
आदित्योदयसम्प्राप्ते विधिमन्त्रपुरस्कृतम् । ददाति काज्चन यो वै दुःस्वप्रं प्रतिहन्ति सः,जो सूर्योदय-कालमें विधिपूर्वक मन्त्र पढ़कर सुवर्णका दान करता है, वह अपने पाप और दुःस्वप्रको नष्ट कर डालता है
ādityodayasamprāpte vidhimantrapuraskṛtam | dadāti kāñcanaṃ yo vai duḥsvapnaṃ pratihanti saḥ ||
قال فاسيشثا: عند شروق الشمس، من اتّبع الشعيرة المقرّرة وجعل التراتيل المقدّسة في المقدّمة ثم قدّم هبةً من الذهب—فإنه يصدّ الأحلام الشريرة، وبذلك يزيل النحس والدنس الأخلاقي المرتبط بها. ويصل هذا التعليم بين الصدقة المنضبطة في وقتها وبين تطهير الباطن والوقاية من الطيرة.
वसिष्ठ उवाच
Timely, rule-guided charity—specifically giving gold at sunrise with mantras—serves as a dharmic act that dispels inauspiciousness (symbolized by evil dreams) and supports moral and spiritual purification.
Vasiṣṭha is instructing about the fruits of specific dāna-rites: he prescribes a sunrise-time gift of gold, performed according to ritual procedure and accompanied by mantras, and states its protective effect against bad dreams and ill-omens.
