Tīrtha-vaṃśa Upadeśa: Instruction on the Fruits of Sacred Waters
दूतसंव्यवहाराश्व निष्परीक्षाश्व मानवा: । प्राणिहिंसाप्रवृत्ता श्व ते वै निरयगामिन:
dūtasaṁvyavahārāś ca niṣparīkṣāś ca mānavāḥ | prāṇihiṁsāpravṛttāś ca te vai nirayagāminaḥ ||
قال بهيشما: إنّ الرجال الذين يتولّون عمل الرسل بلا تمييز—غير قادرين على فحص الشخص أو الموقف فحصًا صحيحًا—والذين يداومون على إيذاء الكائنات الحيّة، فإنهم لا محالة يُقضى عليهم بالجحيم. ويحذّر هذا البيت من أنّ الأدوار العامة كالدبلوماسية أو الوساطة تتطلب تمحيصًا أخلاقيًا ولاعنفًا؛ فإذا أُدّيت بطيشٍ وقسوةٍ أفضت إلى سقوطٍ أخلاقي جسيم.
