Śiva-nāmānukīrtana-prastāvaḥ
Prologue to the praise of Śiva and the Upamanyu testimony
rakṣantu sarvatra gataṁ tvāṁ yādavāḥ sukhāya ca | ariṣṭaṁ gaccha panthānam apramatto bhavānagha ||
Even when one is blessed with protection and goodwill, one should still act with personal responsibility—proceed carefully and remain vigilant (apramattaḥ). Ethical living includes prudence, not mere reliance on fortune or others.
Vāsudeva (Krishna) offers a benediction and practical counsel to the addressed person: may the Yādavas safeguard you wherever you travel; go by a safe route and do not be careless.
