सदा द्वादशमासान्‌ वै जुह्मानो जातवेदसम्‌ | स्थानं वारुणमैन्द्रं च रौद्रं वाप्पधिगच्छति

Transliteration

bhīṣma uvāca | sadā dvādaśa-māsān vai juhvāno jātavedasam | sthānaṃ vāruṇam aindraṃ ca raudraṃ vāpy adhigacchati ||

Translation

قال بهيشما: من ظلّ اثني عشر شهراً يسكب القرابين في جاتافيداس (نار القربان) كلَّ يوم بلا انقطاع، بلغ مقام ڤارونا ومقام إندرا، وبلغ أيضاً عالم رودرا. وتؤكد هذه التعاليم أن واجب اليَجْنَة (yajña) إذا أُدِّي بانتظام وانضباط أورث مقاماتٍ عليا وشرفاً بين الآلهة.
