मानसतीर्थ-शौचप्रशंसा | Praise of the ‘Mental Tīrtha’ and the Marks of Purity

सदा द्वादशमासांस्तु जुह्मानो जातवेदसम्‌ | फल प्राप्रोति विपुलं देवलोके च पूज्यते

sadā dvādaśa-māsāṁs tu juhmāno jātavedasam | phalaṁ prāpnoti vipulaṁ devaloke ca pūjyate ||

قال بهيشما: مَن ظلَّ اثني عشر شهرًا كاملًا يواظب على صبِّ القرابين في النار المقدسة لِـ«جاتافيدا» (أغني)، ومع ضبطٍ صارمٍ لا يأكل إلا مرةً واحدةً في كل يومٍ سابعٍ وعشرين، نال ثوابًا وافرًا وأُجِلَّ في عالم الآلهة. ويثني التعليم على العبادة الفيدية المقترنة بالزهد، جاعلًا من كبح النفس سبيلًا للارتقاء ونيل التوقير السماوي.
