Aṃśāvataraṇa-kathana (Catalog of Divine/Asuric Portions in Human Births) — Chapter 61
तेषां तु विप्रकारेषु तेषु तेषु महामति: । मोक्षणे प्रतिकारे च विदुरोडवहितो5भवत्,कौरवोंके द्वारा किये हुए उन सभी अपकारोंके समय पाण्डवोंको उनसे छुड़ाने अथवा उनका प्रतीकार करनेके लिये परम बुद्धिमान् विदुरजी सदा सावधान रहते थे
teṣāṃ tu viprakāreṣu teṣu teṣu mahāmatiḥ | mokṣaṇe pratikāre ca viduro 'vahitō 'bhavat ||
ولكن كلما ارتُكبت ضدّهم تلك المظالم المتنوعة، كان فيدورا، ذو الرأي العظيم، دائمَ التيقّظ، قاصدًا إنقاذَ الباندافا من تلك الأذى، أو—عند الحاجة—تدبيرَ ردٍّ لائق.
