स देवराजसदृशो धर्मज्ञ: सत्यवागृजु: । दानधर्मतपोयोगाच्छ़िया परमया युतः,वे देवराज इन्द्रके समान पराक्रमी, धर्मज्ञ, सत्यवादी तथा सरल थे। दान, धर्म और तपस्या तीनोंके योगसे उनमें दिव्य कान्तिकी वृद्धि हो रही थी
sa devarājasadṛśo dharmajñaḥ satyavāg ṛjuḥ | dānadharmatapoyogāc chriyā paramayā yutaḥ ||
قال فايشَمبايانا: كان كملك الآلهة—عارفًا بالدَّرْمَا، صادقَ القول، مستقيمَ السيرة. وباجتماع ممارسة السخاء (دانا)، والواجب القويم وفق الدَّرْمَا، والزهد والتقشّف (تَبَس)، مُنِح أسمى بهاء، وكانت إشعاعاته الإلهية تزداد على الدوام.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse presents an ethical ideal of leadership: a person becomes truly illustrious not merely by power but by knowing dharma, speaking truth, being straightforward, and cultivating splendor through the integrated practice of generosity, righteous conduct, and austerity.
Vaiśampāyana is describing a noble figure’s qualities, likening him to Indra and emphasizing his moral character and the divine radiance that arises from his disciplined virtues.
