tasya kṛṣṇasya tanayāḥ pradyumnapramukhās tathā bahavaḥ parisaṃkhyātāḥ sarve yuddhaviśāradāḥ
Suta Goswami (narrating to the sages of Naimiṣāraṇya)
It situates the Purana’s Shaiva teaching within a broader sacred history: exemplary lineages and their dharma form the narrative ground in which Shiva’s Linga, worship, and grace are later emphasized as the highest refuge beyond worldly power.
Indirectly: by highlighting worldly prowess and lineage, it contrasts the limited sphere of kṣātra (outer victory) with Shiva-tattva as Pati—the transcendent Lord who alone releases the paśu (soul) from pāśa (bondage), a theme the Linga Purana develops through Linga-centered devotion.
No specific puja-vidhi or Pāśupata Yoga practice is stated in this verse; it primarily records dynastic enumeration and martial competence, serving as contextual narrative rather than a ritual instruction.
