matkṛtena ca varṇena kalpo vai lohitaḥ smṛtaḥ tadā lohitamāṃsāsthilohitakṣīrasaṃbhavā
Suta Goswami (narrating the Purana; internal teaching attributed to the cosmic Lord’s agency)
It frames creation as arising from the Lord’s own power (Pati), supporting Linga worship as devotion to the transcendent source from whom all embodied forms (pashu) emerge.
Shiva is implied as the causal ground whose śakti determines the “color” (quality) of a kalpa—showing Him as Pati, the sovereign cause governing manifestation and embodiment.
No specific puja-vidhi is stated; the takeaway is contemplative Pashupata orientation—meditating on Shiva as the origin of the tattvas and bodily constituents, loosening pasha (bondage) through right knowledge.
