Adhyaya 23: श्वेत-लोहित-पीत-कृष्ण-विश्व-कल्पेषु रुद्रस्वरूप-गायत्री-तत्त्ववर्णनम्

मत्कृतेन च वर्णेन कल्पो वै लोहितः स्मृतः तदा लोहितमांसास्थिलोहितक्षीरसंभवा

matkṛtena ca varṇena kalpo vai lohitaḥ smṛtaḥ tadā lohitamāṃsāsthilohitakṣīrasaṃbhavā

وباللون الذي تولّد بسببي، ذاك الدهر يُذكَر حقًّا باسم «كَلْبَة لوهيتا»؛ أي الكَلْبَة الحمراء. وفي ذلك الزمان خرجت الكائنات في صورٍ متصلة بالدم الأحمر واللحم والعظم واللبن المائل إلى الحمرة—ناشئةً على وفق تلك الصبغة.
