Arcana-vidhi: The Method of Deity Worship
Vedic, Tantric, and Mixed
etad vadanti munayo muhur niḥśreyasaṁ nṛṇām nārado bhagavān vyāsa ācāryo ’ṅgirasaḥ sutaḥ
This verse states that the sages repeatedly affirm a particular teaching as the supreme welfare (niḥśreyasa) for humans—an authoritative conclusion upheld by Nārada, Vyāsa, and Bṛhaspati.
They are cited as universally respected authorities among the sages, showing that the instruction being given is not a novel opinion but a time-tested conclusion of the Vedic tradition.
Seek the ‘highest good’ rather than temporary gains by aligning daily life with authentic guru-sādhu-śāstra guidance—regularly hearing, practicing devotion, and following proven spiritual disciplines.
