Sukta 2
एतत् त्वा वासः प्रथमं न्वागन्नपैतदूह यदिहाबिभः पुरा। इष्टापूर्तमनुसंक्राम विद्वान् यत्र ते दत्तं बहुधा विबन्धुषु
etát tvā vā́saḥ prathamáṃ nv ā́gan apáitád ūha yád ihā́bibháḥ purā́ | iṣṭāpūrtám ánu sáṃkrāma vidvā́n yátra te dáttaṃ bahudhā́ víbandhuṣu
This garment hath now first come unto thee: bear thou it off, (and) bear off whatever fear thou hadst here of old. Knowing, pass thou along after thy iṣṭa and pūrta, where thy gifts are bestowed in many wise among thy several kindred.
هذا اللِّباس قد أتى إليك الآن أوّلَ مرّة؛ فاحمله معك، واطرحْ معه كلَّ خوفٍ قديمٍ كان لك هنا من قبل. عارفاً، اعبرْ على أثر «إِشْطَ» و«بُورْتَ» (قُرْبانك وأعمالك الصالحة)، إلى حيث وُهِبَت عطاياك بوجوهٍ شتّى بين ذوي قرابتك المتعدّدين.
