Sukta 3
एष वा ओदनः सर्वाङ्गः सर्वपरुः सर्वतनूः
eṣá vá ódanaḥ sárvāṅgaḥ sárvaparúḥ sárvatanū́ḥ
This, verily, is the boiled oblation-food—complete in every limb, complete in every joint, complete in the whole body.
هذا حقًّا هو الأودانا (طعامُ القُربانِ المسلوق)—تامٌّ في كلِّ عضو، تامٌّ في كلِّ مفصل، تامٌّ في الجسد كلِّه.
Rishi: Atharvanic tradition (specific ṛṣi not stated in the provided excerpt)
Devata: Odana as efficacious ritual substance (annadevata/food-personification); implicitly ‘wholeness’ (sarvāṅgatā)
Chandas: Prose/Brāhmaṇa-style Atharvanic diction (not a strict metrical ṛc)
{"primary_rasa":"shanta","secondary_rasa":"adbhuta","emotional_arc":"Need for strength → assurance of completeness → quiet satisfaction.","listener_experience":"Warmth, nourishment, safety, embodied fullness.","intensity":3}
