FAQs

It imparts a scriptural-authenticity principle: the Agneya Purāṇa is to be received with śraddhā and understood as vedasammita—consistent with Vedic authority—framing how its many vidyās should be trusted and applied.

By asserting Veda-alignment, it legitimizes the Purāṇa’s wide-ranging, encyclopedic coverage (ritual, dharma, polity, arts, and other śāstras) as a coherent extension of Vedic teaching rather than disconnected topics.

The verse emphasizes steadfastness and faith as the proper inner posture for study and listening; receiving the Purāṇa with śraddhā is presented as spiritually purifying and as a means to assimilate Veda-consistent dharma.
