It imparts jñāna-vidyā: the contemplative knowledge that all beings are manifestations (aṃśas) of the one cosmic Self (viśvarūpa), and that realization leads to liberation.
Alongside rituals, polity, medicine, and arts, the Agni Purāṇa also preserves Vedāntic mokṣa-doctrine; this verse exemplifies its inclusion of liberation-philosophy (ātma-jñāna) as a core knowledge domain.
Realizing non-duality—“I am the one, cosmic-form Self”—cuts ignorance (avidyā), dissolves bondage, and culminates in mokṣa (vimukti), rather than merely accruing ritual merit.
